Joe Scarborough Practically Hyperventilates Over People Criticizing Biden’s Border Walk

MSNBC's Joe Scarborough on Monday was furious at Americans' criticism of President Joe Biden's visit to the U.S.-Mexico border.

Biden and former President Donald Trump visited the border simultaneously on Friday as the post-COVID-19 situation reached a dire situation. It was Biden's second trip to the border since taking office to address an issue that could have significant implications for the 2024 presidential election.

“Yes, you know the pastor. [Al Sharpton], it was so funny that someone called me and said they talked about border differences. They say yes, but did you see how he walked at the border? I said to them, wait a minute, are you giving them points for style or the way they walk instead of what they say? Need I remind you that one of the greatest presidents in American history was in a wheelchair? And he worked! ”

Sharpton added that Americans are trying to make excuses for Trump while criticizing Biden because of his age. (Related: 'Unprecedented crisis': Joe Scarborough says Biden isn't doing enough to secure the border)

“He gave us the New Deal, he saved this country with our allies, he saved us from Hitler,” replied Rev. Al Sharpton. “But I think the real difference between Donald Trump and Joe Biden's walk is that Joe Biden didn't have to take the perk walk in court like Donald Trump did. But look at the facts. And people keep saying Joe Biden is too old. Is he too old to pass an infrastructure bill? Is he too old to pass an inflation control bill? Have we taken it too far? With a man who takes us out of the middle of a pandemic, denies it, tells us to drink bleach, and puts his name on the checks that Nancy Pelosi passes through Congress. Is he too old for a showdown?”

MSNBC's Jonathan Lemire said Biden's performance at the State of the Union will have a major impact on the upcoming election.

NBC News poll It found that 57% of voters believe President Trump can handle border security.
