Kelly Clarkson Calls Off All August Shows at Las Vegas Residency

Kelly Clarkson Cancels Las Vegas Residency Show

Kelly Clarkson has unexpectedly called off her much-anticipated show in Las Vegas this August, attributing the decision to personal family matters involving her ex-husband.

On Instagram, Clarkson shared with her 7.8 million followers that her ex, Brandon Blackstock, is facing health issues, leading her to cancel her performance. She emphasized that during this “difficult time,” the well-being of her children comes first.

“Unfortunately, we will need to postpone the rest of the dates for our August studio session in Las Vegas,” she wrote.

In her message, she expressed that typically, she keeps her private life under wraps, but she felt it necessary to be open this time regarding Blackstock’s illness and her need to be fully present for their children.

Details about Blackstock’s health have not been publicly shared. The couple finalized their divorce last year, sharing custody of their two kids, River and Remington.

Fans have shown their disappointment over the cancellation, yet many have praised Clarkson for prioritizing her family. It seems there’s a general understanding that family takes precedence.

In her statement, she also expressed gratitude to ticket holders, acknowledging their kindness and understanding.

This marks the second time Clarkson has postponed her residency at Caesars Palace’s Colosseum since early July, when she had to cancel two shows after straining her vocal cords during practice.
