Kellyanne Conway said on Friday for Fox Business that Democrats face a major dilemma as President Donald Trump’s list of trade and tariff victory continues to grow.
Trump has strengthened his trade strategy against China by hiking Chinese goods to 125% while halting tariffs in most countries. When featured in “Editing the Evening,” Conway pointed to a surge in US investment and employment announcements tied to Trump’s economic agenda, saying Democrats have not yet offered serious alternatives as they continue to oppose the president’s trade strategy.
“So many companies strengthened it in 1600 [Pennsylvania Avenue] And “Hey, Mr. President, we’re opening a new facility in North Carolina. We’re investing $20 billion in Americans and will hire 5,000 new Americans in rural America in the next four or five years. The White House is highlighting these success stories,” Conway told host Elizabeth MacDonald.
“These American investment stories, Liz, it’s general knowledge. They put it out every week. Democrats don’t want to see it and admit it. Some of these countries, Liz, need to decide if they’re for America or China. It sounds like some of these Democrats have to decide [whether] They are for the US or China. ”

When asked why Democrats aren’t offering a clear trade strategy, Conway said it was because Trump already shows the strength and fairness Americans want. (Related: Josh Hawley says liberals are “crazy” because they know Trump is right for China.)
“It’s called respect and fear. And I think this last election shows that Americans want weakness, strength against Liz. And they want fairness against inequality. And they want what President Trump is doing on his trade and tariff agenda. “Look, if they do a couple, four deals we know, then I think they can announce the beginning. That’s similar to the investment in America that so many companies make.”
Conway also criticized former President Barack Obama.
“Former President Barack Obama, who failed to make Hillary Clinton his third term in the first 100 days of Donald Trump’s first term, felt that he needed to share what President Trump should do and what he should do in an interview. “Now, I didn’t hear him say much about it last fall when he was trying to support Kamala Harris, Joe Biden and Tim Waltz.
Speaking Thursday at Hamilton University in Clinton, New York, Obama said that standing up to Trump’s policies could demand personal sacrifices. On “Jesse Watters Primetime,” Victor Davis Hanson denounced Obama, saying his words had conflicted with his own lifestyle.
