Lady Gaga’s Dad Says He’s Backing ‘Patriot’ Donald Trump In November

Lady Gaga's father, Joe Germanotta, declared his support for Donald Trump on Fox News on Thursday.

The endorsement may come as a shock to some fans, given Lady Gaga's past support of Democrats, but New York City restaurateur Germanotta called Donald Trump “pure” and Ms Harris a “patriot” despite his criticism of her.

“They're two very different people,” Germanotta said of Harris and Trump. “One is pure and a patriot, and the other is just going to say whatever it takes to get elected. That's basically what I'm hearing.”

Germanotta also mocked Harris, saying he was “tired of hearing about her neighbor's lawn.”

Germanotta acknowledged that Trump is not perfect for her, but made it clear that he far prefers Trump's approach and positions to those of his famous daughter.

“Donald is certainly aggressive, but he's a patriot and his policies, at least to me, are on point,” he said.

Lady Gaga's father gave a series of reasons why he voted for Trump.

“I'm for lower fuel and food prices, low interest rates, a strong economy and supporting police,” Germanotta said.

“Let the police do their job… law and order!” he declared.

Germanotta spoke about the protests taking place in the streets of New York and once again drew comparisons between the two politicians.

“Don't let protesters burn down our cities and small businesses. Keep the jobs in the United States,” he said.

“When you lay them out side by side, I don't know what the hell you're talking about,” he said, referring to Harris.

“She keeps talking about opportunity zones, but the world is an opportunity zone!” Germanotta declared.

“It can't get any worse than it is now,” the famous singer's father said, before concluding the interview by repeating, “I support Donald Trump. I support his policies!”

Lady Gaga recently liked an Instagram post by Taylor Swift in support of Kamala Harris and famously performed at Joe Biden's inauguration in January 2021.
