Latin Grammy Award winner Alejandro Fernández and influential Latin rock band MANÁ teamed up with Live Nation to help victims of flooding in Pajaro in March, with a portion of proceeds from Bay Area shows to Community Bridges, a trusted non-profit organization founded in 1977.
Across the Santa Cruz County line in Monterey County, Pajaro and its surrounding areas are home to thousands of Latino farm workers displaced after devastating storms breached the Pajaro River embankment.
“At the heart of MANÁ is the belief that our music can be a vehicle for social good,” said lead singer Fher Olvera. “When we heard about the devastating storm and saw the people of Pajaro suffering, we knew we had to help. We encourage our fans to help in any way they can. doing.”
