Lawmakers Introduces UFO Bill To Protect Pilots From Retaliation When Reporting Strange Events

A bipartisan group of lawmakers introduced a proposal in January that would protect airline employees and pilots from retaliation when reporting unidentified flying objects or aerial phenomena (UFOs or UAPs).

Democratic California Rep. Robert Garcia and Republican Wisconsin Rep. Glenn Grossman said,Safe Airspace Act for AmericansIf passed, the bill would require the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to establish a formal reporting system and other procedures for UFO incidents. Reports submitted through the FAA's scheduled offices will be passed on to the Department of Defense's All Area Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) to establish legal protections for reporters.

“UAP transparency is critical to national security, which is why we need to create a forum for aviation professionals to report their findings and experiences,” Garcia said in a statement. according to To The Hill. “This bill is a further step forward in disclosure and provides a secure process for UAP reporting by civilian and commercial parties.”

The bill would apply to FAA air traffic controllers, pilots, flight attendants, maintenance department support staff, dispatchers, and airlines. (Related: UFO knowledge is hidden by big government, members of Congress, and author Tell Chuck Todd)

Will this bill pass? My gut feeling is that if this bill passes, it will be a significantly revised version. There is no way AARO or any other Department of Defense would allow the FAA to proactively investigate UFO reports. Grossman and Garcia's research could open up entirely new avenues of disclosure that are not controlled by big government.
