“This is an honor. And for those who have heard me articulate my views on equality of law and fair treatment of all people, help is on the way.” Help is on the way for those who believe that the law has been used illegally against certain groups because of their political views,” Terrell said.
Terrell was originally a staunch Democrat and liberal commentator, but he made a political shift in July 2020 when he announced his support for Trump, the first time he supported a Republican presidential candidate. He said his change was motivated by dissatisfaction with the direction and policies of the Democratic Party, which no longer represent his views or the best interests of the African American community.
