A new report released by the Capital Research Center (CRC) claims that an organization with ties to a Democratic dark money network is behind an effort to link economic experts and news organizations favorable to the Biden administration.

“For those trying to follow suit, that means ESB is an Arabella front group created by another Arabella front group,” the CRC report said.
“Funded projects creating funded projects themselves is a relatively new level of financial dummy gaming in the dark money world, but the Arabella Network has already begun to do this very well,” Parker Thayer, a researcher who wrote the CRC report, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “Groundwork Collaborative has already created several pop-up groups, even though they don't actually exist in the eyes of the IRS.”

To book an ESB expert, media representatives are directed through SKDK, the nation's leading Democratic consulting firm, which has provided consulting services to the Biden campaign and several other Democratic candidates, according to the CRC.
“When a financially sponsored pop-up group creates their own pop-up, it's what you might call sponsorship squared, but it doesn't actually provide any additional cover, convenience or benefit from the organization's perspective,” Thayer told DCNF.
“This doubling of sponsorship arrangements appears to serve the same purpose as the puffer fish's unique anatomy: making left-wing activist organizations appear bigger and more intimidating,” he continued. “Professional leftists, particularly the Arabella Network, do this all the time, creating rosters of pop-up groups, even pop-ups within pop-ups, to give the appearance of widespread public support when in fact there are only one or two big donors behind the entire operation.”
New Venture Fund, ESB and Groundwork Collaborative did not respond to DCNF's requests for comment.
