The liberal media helped President Joe Biden by omitting his remarks about Russian President Vladimir Putin’s “defeat in Iraq.”
The president mixed up the wars in Iraq and Ukraine in answering a question about the Wagner Group’s failed coup over the weekend of June 24. Some news outlets erased the president’s gaffes in quoting the reply, making it appear as if it was the president’s statement for 80 years. The old president made no mistakes.
Biden: ‘It’s hard to judge, but he’s clearly lost in the Iraq war’ Said, referring to Ukraine. “He lost the war at home and is a bit of a pariah around the world.”
NBC News omit “Biden was asked by reporters outside the White House by NBC News if the recent developments had weakened Mr. Putin. ‘ added.
USA Today’s report also didn’t mention the gaffe, adding only that Putin had “lost the war at home.”
“He’s losing the war at home, and he’s become a bit of a pariah around the world,” quoted USA Today. “And it’s not just NATO. It’s not just the European Union.”

Neither news outlet appeared to be writing a separate story on the president’s remarks on Iraq. (Related: Biden declares Putin ‘cannot stay in power’, White House quickly retracts)
Reuters and Bloomberg declined to comment in their coverage of the remarks, but wrote separate stories about the “Iraq” comments.Reuters published “Biden says it’s hard to tell if Putin has been weakened by recent events,” posted another about 40 minutes later. of the title“Biden verbally says Putin lost the war in ‘Iraq’.”
Bloomberg’s White House correspondent Jenny Leonard quoted the president’s remarks without mentioning Iraq.
