Light-industrial firm announces new headquarters in this East Pierce County community

The master-plan Tehale housing development in East Pierce County’s Lake Bonney area announced its first light industrial tenants this week.

CC Edwards Construction will be headquartered in Tehale and will be the first light industry tenant in Tehale’s employment center, according to a news release sent out on Thursday.

The center is “dedicated to commercial development and employment.

The company now sits between Puyallup and Sumner.

CC Edwards’ 4.66-acre lot is located near Tehaleh Boulevard East and Cascadia Boulevard East and will house 10 employees.

Site construction is expected to be completed by the end of June.

“We are building a new headquarters to accommodate our growth over the next 25 years,” company founder and owner CC Edwards said in a release. “We have been in business for over 30 years and the Tehale location gives us room to expand.”

Four other lots near the CC Edwards location have also been zoned for light industry, and multiple developers are considering sites, according to the release.

Other commercial properties in Tehale include business parks, self-storage facilities and pet resorts.

“Later this year, Tehale will celebrate the opening of its new facility. Canyon View Village Center It features eight acres of retail, restaurants, medical clinics and beauty salons,” the release added.

All this happens as Tehale continues to add homes Its expected total is 9,700.

In March, an LLC affiliated with homebuilder Shea Homes Washington purchased more than 150 lots. From LLC affiliated with Brookfield Properties for $28.2 million on March 9.

Brookfield Properties Acquisition of Tehaleh masterplan developer Newland Communities Shea developed Trilogy in Tehaleh, a community for the over 55s, and launched her next project with a land deal in March.
