Linda L. Von Daren, 75, of Waukesha, died Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at Vesta House Hospice in Chandler, Arizona.
Linda was born in Chippewa Falls on May 31, 1947, the daughter of Donald F. and Bernice O. (Scoop) Sachs. After completing her schooling, she began working in the healthcare industry as a licensed practicing nurse. She spent most of her career working in her clinic at Mukwonago Family Physicians.
Linda put her family first and retired in 1997 to care for her first grandchild with health problems. She later returned to her work in the home health care industry and she officially retired in 2005.
On July 12, 1969, Linda married Max T. von Dalen at Cornell’s Lutheran Church of the Savior. God blessed Linda and Max with her two loving children, Max B. and Terra A. Linda had her joyful heart. She was a very happy person and she loved to sing. While she and Max lived in a few different places during their time together, including raising their children in Eagle, Wisconsin before retirement, Linda was always in the local church choir. She was also involved in the community and was a charter member of the Eagle Lioness, continuing her service with the organization many years after leaving the Eagle area. Linda and Max spent the winter in her community of Desert Suns in her Junction in Apache, Arizona and made many good memories together in their second home. In her spare time, Linda enjoys riding motorcycles with her husband, whether on day trips or long vacations, and most recently loved looking out the window and watching the hummingbirds feed. , was also an avid bowler in his youth. Linda was a kind, caring and good woman.
She was bequeathed to her loving husband of 53 years, Max T. von Dalen. Her two children, her Max B. von Dahlen of North Branch, Minnesota, and her Tera A. (Christopher) Sagen of Waukesha. Her four grandchildren, Maxwell (Hayley Michele) Sage, Madison Sage, Max A. Von Dahlen and Logan Von Dahlen. Two brothers, Byrne (Kathy) Sachs of Wentworth and Donna (Bill) Rockwell of Gordon. Linda also has many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was widowed by her parents and a younger sister, Natalie Martinek.
A celebration of Linda’s life was held on Sunday, December 18, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Desert Sun Clubhouse in Apache Junction, Arizona. A memorial service will be held at Hoffman Cemetery in Rome, Wisconsin on Saturday, April 29 at 11:00 am. Reverend Karen Blackwell Pearl will officiate at the grave visit. A reception will be held in front of the grave of the Sullivan Saloon.
