“I think President Biden really thought, 'I'm just going to go on a black radio show. You give me a question and I'll answer it the way I'm told. I'm going to ask the questions I tell you to ask and I'll survive the fallout from the debate.' But I think it was pretty arrogant of him to assume that I was going to ask him the questions I told him to ask,” Hunt said. “This is standard for Joe Biden. He has very little respect for black people. It's been evident throughout his career.”
Hunt cited Biden's comments during the 2012 presidential campaign, when he attacked then-Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney and claimed he would “put black people back in chains.” He also cited Biden's comments during his 2020 presidential run: Said Radio host Charlaman the God said, “If you can't decide whether to support me or Trump, you're not black.”
WURD Radio President and CEO Sarah M. Lomax argued that not only did the pre-determined questions violate the station's “independent media practices,” but that the interview was “independently arranged and negotiated” by Lawful Sanders. according to In a statement.
“This is his character and who he is, so it's normal for him to go on a black radio show and disrespect the host and fire the host for sending questions in advance and saying, 'I'll tell you what to do,'” Hunt said.

“If we don't do something about this, my children are going to grow up in a jungle, a jungle where racial tensions will run high and one day explode,” Biden said.
Lawful Sanders, host of 96.1 FM's “The Source,” interviewed Biden on Wednesday and told CNN on Saturday that he was given eight questions to ask the president, and ultimately approved and asked four of them.
“This practice of delegitimizing Black voices continues today,” Lomax wrote. “WURD Radio does not speak for the Biden Administration or any other administration. Internally, we are committed to reviewing our policies, procedures, and practices to strengthen WURD's independence and trust with our listeners. However, mainstream media should do some introspection and explore how they have lost the trust of so many Americans, particularly Black Americans.”
