Live Election 2024 results: Who won in Los Angeles

We track elections at all levels of government that affect approximately 4 million people in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.

Los Angeles is divided into 15 City Council districts, three of which are on the ballot this year. District 2 covers Toluca Lake to Van Nuys in the San Fernando Valley, and District 10 includes Koreatown and West Adams. Kevin de Leon’s district, District 14, includes Downtown, Boyle Heights and Highland Park.

The city challenges voters to decide several issues through city action. A yes on Measure DD would strip redistricting from LA politicians, but Measure LL would do the same for LA school districts. The ER bill would revamp the Ethics Commission. Selecting “Yes” to measure FF would entitle some police to better pensions. Two extortion measures amend the City Charter: Amendment HH and City Charter Amendment II.

      Several measures voted across Los Angeles County will have a significant impact on residents of the City of Los Angeles.

      The ballot measures support expanding the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors and electing a county executive, issuing a sales tax to fund anti-homelessness programs, and enacting new taxes to fund emergency response and infrastructure. Ask voters if they want to.

      Los Angeles Township Atty. George Gascón will face off against former federal prosecutor Nathan Hochman. The two candidates advanced through crowded primaries.
