Yuma — The Koffa Drama Division will present its Spring Musical production, “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” at the Koffa Auditorium on Thursday, March 30 and Friday, March 31, 2023.
“The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” is a musical comedy directed by Angeline Chan, theater teacher at Koffa High School. The show focuses on an eclectic group of tweens competing for the best spelling championship of a lifetime.
“I am very excited that people will see this work,” Chan said. “If you haven’t seen Putnam, you’ll love this hilarious ride. It’s unlike any show or theater production you’ve seen. You know you won’t miss a regular customer’s favorite.
Doors open at 6:30 PM. Start time is 7pm. Admission is $10.
The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is the last Kofa drama division show of the year and the final high school drama show for seniors in the division.
“I was in drama all four years of high school, so this is the final performance of the program and it’s really heartwarming,” said KHS Senior Mack Schwitzing. “This is my last performance and I am really happy to leave Cofa with such a high rating.”
