Internal Revenue Service (IRS) whistleblower Joe Ziegler looked completely baffled when Democratic Pennsylvania Rep. Summer Lee became apathetic about slavery during a hearing on Hunter Biden’s alleged crimes.
Whistleblowers Gary Shapley and Ziegler testified before the House Oversight Committee that the Department of Justice (DOJ) pressured prosecutors not to indict Hunter Biden on a tax felony charge. Ziegler has previously testified that Hunter Biden and his associates received more than $3 million from Romanian companies, as well as payments from China-related companies and the Ukrainian company Burisma.
Despite the lengthy allegations, Mr. Lee decided to focus his statement on slavery, not asking a single question about Mr. Ziegler’s allegations, even choosing to turn the rest of his time back to the chair.
“Recently, Republicans have been citing the term ‘two-tier justice system’ so often that I want to talk about what a true two-tier justice system is, where blacks and browns are overcriminalized and over-incarcerated. I want to address how my Republican colleagues are using the term ‘two-tier justice system’ to make it sound like Trump and his cronies are victims in some way, when in reality the term ‘two-tier justice system’ is being used.” “Justice” is intended to refer to the very real institutions that exist in the United States and affect blacks and browns, not influential former presidents or their political allies,” Lee said.
Lawmakers then listed black men’s incarceration and crime statistics compared to white men as Mr. Ziegler looked around puzzled as to the purpose of his comments. (Related: MTG Censored For Showing Hunter Biden Porn Pics During Whistleblower Hearing)
“These racial disparities are rooted in a two-tiered view of race. The belief that blacks are inferior was created to justify the enslavement of blacks, and has now evolved to include the belief that blacks are more likely to commit crime. During the decades of lynching that followed enslavement, whites defended the torture and killing of blacks necessary to protect their property, families, and way of life from black criminals,” as Ziegler seeks to understand how his testimony relates to slavery. In sight, Lee continued.
“The Republican effort to use the term ‘two-tier justice’ is meant to distract from those who are the true victims of disparate treatment in our nation’s criminal justice system. And we all know who those people are, whether we say it out loud or not. I’ll be devoting the rest of my time to Ranking Members.”
