The Maine school district, currently in a fierce battle with the federal government over transgender athletes, has decided to adhere to the current federal definition of Title IX, banning biological men from being able to compete in women’s sports. Gov. Janet Mills and Maine officials are pushing trans athletes to get into women’s and women’s sports.
In a unanimous vote on Monday night, the MSAD #70 school board moved in line with Title IX. (Related: Gov. Janet Mills claims he is “cary” as Trump administrator, acting like there are no issues with trans athletes in Maine.
Talk to Fox News DigitalMSAD #70 coach Tyler Putnam said the results of the vote would direct the district’s policies to be changed that prohibit biological male athletes from participating in women’s sports.
“This move will rewrite our policy and direct you to adhere to the move, my interpretation is that the Board of Education is trying to approve a policy to align biological gender with a specific athletic team.
Breaking: Maine has been featured in a non-violating DOJ of Title IX, and US DOE is working to end Maine’s federal education funding.
