Littlefield, Arizona (KUTV) — Detectives from the Mojave County Sheriff’s Department are currently investigating a murder in Littlefield, Arizona.

The incident took place on June 1, near 5300 Willow Road, when a man came to his property, claimed to have been shot, and was reported by a neighbor to have had a visible gunshot wound, according to attorneys. Reported.

The man claimed he was shot by his brother after an argument, according to media sources. In self-defense, he claimed to have beaten his brother and returned the gun before seeking help from his neighbor’s house.

Sheriffs were dispatched to the scene to begin an initial investigation, after which the investigation was handed over to detectives.

Officials said the deceased victim was being transferred to the Mojave County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

The other person involved in the incident was taken to a local hospital, but his injuries are not life-threatening.

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification from next of kin. The investigation is still ongoing.
