Las Vegas (KLAS) – A man had to be rescued from his home after a fire broke out on Saturday. Mojave County Sheriff’s Department officials were dispatched to the scene, met with neighbors, and were informed that the man was trapped inside the house.
Body camera footage released by the sheriff’s office showed the scene of the rescue by sheriffs.
Once the man was located, the video shows the lieutenant tearing down the window frames of the house. The man was eventually able to climb to safety with the help of the deputy chief.
Minutes after the man stepped out the window, the house was completely engulfed in flames, according to the Northern Arizona Fire District. The cause of the fire is unknown.
The sheriff’s deputy who rescued the man suffered minor cuts and scrapes on his hand, but no other injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.
