According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, police are searching for a man who fled authorities who tried to arrest him on suspicion of stealing a vehicle.

Maricopa County sheriff’s deputies received a call about a stolen vehicle near 114th Street and Lake Shore Drive in Youngtown, Arizona, around 3:25 p.m. Sunday, officials said. Officers found the stolen vehicle with a man identified as Cody Klein, 32, in the driver’s seat, police said.

Officials said lawmakers tried unsuccessfully to detain Klein. According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department, Klein fled from officers on foot and is still missing.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department is seeking public assistance in the search for Ms. Klein and has asked anyone who knows Klein’s whereabouts to call 602-876-1011.
