Climate change has low approval ratings, Vice President Kamala Harris has downplayed the entire issue, and the idea that nothing is more important to the next generation than addressing climate change has been silenced.
During the presidential debate with former President Donald Trump, Vice President Kamala Harris redirected a moderator's question about climate change into a discussion about home insurance premiums.
She said climate change is “Very realistic” And she said that NPR is “Wallet problem.”
“Just ask anybody who lives in a state that's experienced these extreme weather events who's had their home insurance denied or their rates increased. Just ask anybody who's been affected what it means in terms of losing their home and having nowhere to go,” Harris said during the debate.
Why has climate change, once known as an existential threat with apocalyptic tipping points, now become just an insurance cost issue for Democratic presidential candidates? The Washington Post Democratic leaders “appear to have calculated that remaining silent on climate change is the safest strategy,” the paper said. The Washington Post explained, “Democrats believe that talking about the environment would be a loss for both sides.”
When asked about “climate change” in her first media interview on CNN, Harris insisted that “my values” had not changed, given her recent campaign tactics on fracking, electric vehicles and net-zero issues.
Harris told CNN there is a “climate crisis” and that to solve it, “$1 trillion“Applying standards, including meeting time deadlines”
So, Harris' position on the threat of man-made climate change is exactly the same as it was during her brief 2019 presidential campaign. She repeatedly claims she no longer calls for a “ban” on fracking, but fails to address the fact that continuing with the Green New Deal and Inflation Control Act policies will result in countless deaths and injuries from fracking and other methods of US energy production.
Harris has vowed to continue the ideological net-zero fairy tale that government spending and mandates can change the Earth's climate system. Her energy plan will continue to be a blow to America First.
Remember that Harris' “values” included originality. Co-Sponsor AOC's Green New Deal Tiebreaking vote In 2022 Inflation Control LawHe supports banning gasoline-powered cars, banning gas stoves, identifying climate change as one of the “root causes” of illegal immigration, and limiting meat through government EPA regulations on methane emissions from agriculture.
Additionally, the Biden-Harris administration has openly discussed the possibility of declaring a national climate emergency. According to NBC News: “It gives the president extraordinary powers in times of crisis without needing congressional approval.”
Ignoring democracy and forcing a Green New Deal on America seems central to Harris' “values,” yet somehow during this heated presidential campaign her “values” have rapidly become silent on the so-called “existential” climate threats of the 21st century.
If you listen closely, the Harris “silence” fades away. Her campaign was loud and boastful. ReutersShe claims that the “climate silence” is all part of her election plan.
“She has pursued a policy of 'strategic ambiguity' when it comes to energy policy. [Harris] An aide told Reuters last month: “She is careful not to lose support from undecided voters in battleground states, particularly gas-producing Pennsylvania, by touting her climate change efforts too loudly.”
“Shouting too much?!” The only thing that seems to matter about Harris' climate “values” is “strategic ambiguity”, also known as deception.
The reality is that Harris' “climate silence” is a concession to scientific reality and to the failed promises of solar and wind that are a pointless burden on the U.S. economy. For years, people have heard that solar and wind are “cheaper” than fossil fuels, and that they are meant to replace them. But the reality is the exact opposite of these claims, and Democrats know it.
Despite trillions of dollars in subsidies, green energy mandates, UN climate summits, net-zero commitments and fossil fuel limits, solar and wind power are just By 2023, it will account for 13.9% of the world's electricity. Meanwhile, the United States will still Consumed By 2023, 82% of energy will come from fossil fuels.
When these energetic realities are screaming in your face, silence may be the only answer.
Perhaps the most surprising thing about Harris-Waltz’s campaign to silence climate change is why climate change authorities have no qualms about silencing it. The New York Times reported. that “[Harris] “I only touched briefly on climate change,” he said.[c]Limato's leaders say that's fine.”
Why are climate activists suddenly “accepting” their flag bearers' silence on climate change as the presidential election heats up? Perhaps the answer is: advice “We have 70 days to get it right, and then we can go back to acting crazy,” Democratic activist Rev. Mark Thompson declared at the August Democratic National Convention in Chicago. “You have 70 days to get it right, and then you can go back to acting crazy, right?” Thompson added. “You have 70 days to get it right. Be good.”
Let’s hope the American people can see the climate “madness” in the Harris-Waltz fake “climate silence” campaign.
