Margarete “Margo” H. Hopper died Tuesday, June 28, 2023 at the age of 96 at Luther Park Assistance Living in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Born in Fürth, Germany, Margot experienced World War II as a teenager and then lived a fulfilling life in America. A mother of two, grandmother of five, and great-grandmother of two, Margo was a successful business owner enjoying her retirement in Yuma, Arizona. She then moved to Luther Her Park in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Throughout her life, Margot enjoyed creative endeavours, including dancing, painting, and working with the Tacoma Opera Society. She then pursued her outdoor activities such as bird watching and pickleball. From snowbird to full-time desert dweller, she enjoyed playing pool and volunteering at Yuma Conservation.
Margot’s father and mother, Emile Rapp and Freida Rapp, both died before her. her brothers, John and Rudy; her son Michael. Her first husband, Sgt. Joseph Hines. her second husband, Clarence Hopper; and third husband, Glenn Hendricks.
Margarete leaves behind her daughter and stepson Pam Webb and Will Webb, and their three children. Her son’s wife Susan Hopper and two children.
The family is grateful to Luther Park, Bonner General Hospice, Dr. Hannah Rayner, Dr. Meza, and staff for their help and support. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
