Phoenix (Az Family) – Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell addressed a series of topics at her monthly press conference on Thursday, particularly her office’s efforts to combat child exploitation.
Top county prosecutors noted the case involving a 14-year-old girl who was allegedly seduced by Snapchat by a man named Pablo Rodriguez.
“Almost immediately, he threatened to hurt his family if he didn’t send him an explicit photo. At first she ignored it, but he sent a message at her home address, which scared her,” Mitchell explained, adding that the threat lasted almost a year until it was reported. Rodriguez is currently running on $100,000 cash-only bonds and is scheduled to begin tentatively in October.
