phoenix – We are beginning to know who will serve on the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors in 2025.
District 1

The district covers much of the East Valley, including Phoenix’s Ahwatukee neighborhood, Chandler, Gilbert, Queen Creek and parts of Tempe.
Republican Mark Stewart is leading Democrat Joel Navarro in the race, according to unofficial statistics from Maricopa County elections officials. Stewart defeated incumbent Jack Sellers in the primary.
District 2 – AP predictions made

The district covers parts of Tempe and Mesa, as well as parts of Scottsdale and rural northeastern Maricopa County.
On November 8, the Associated Press predicted Thomas Galvin of GIP as the winner.
In a statement released Nov. 6, Galvin thanked voters in his district for re-electing him.
“I am proud to be elected as the first Latino Republican to the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, and doubly proud to have been elected twice. Serving the voters of District 2 It is an absolute honor to do so, and we are ready to build on the great work we have accomplished over the past three years,” the statement reads in part.

The district covers much of Phoenix, as well as parts of Glendale and rural northern Maricopa County.
Unofficial numbers show Democrat Deniel Valenzuela leading Republican Kate Brophy McGee.
The seat’s incumbent, Bill Gates, announced in 2023: I will not seek re-election.
District 4 – AP predictions made
The district covers various communities in the West Valley, including Peoria, Surprise, and Wickenburg, as well as parts of rural western Maricopa County.
The Associated Press predicted on November 8 that Republican Debbie Lesko would win the race. Mr. Lesko is the current Congressman for Arizona’s 8th Congressional District. She chose not to run for re-election to Congress.
On November 6, Lesko’s camp declared victory in a statement.
“I would like to thank my constituents for trusting me to represent them on the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors,” Lesko wrote. “It is an honor to once again serve the West Valley in this new role, and I am committed to always striving to reflect the interests of my constituents in all my actions and votes.”
Major news organizations have not released their predictions for the race.
The district’s incumbent, Clint Hickman, announced his decision: not seek re-election In February.
District 5 – AP predictions made
The district covers southwestern Maricopa County, including south Phoenix and Gila Bend.
The Associated Press predicted on November 8 that Democratic incumbent Steve Gallardo would win the election.
