Those who have registered to give public comments to the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors are currently escorted to and from the podium by security guards.
The increased security came in the wake of chaos at the morgue after the Feb. 28 meeting.
Video recorded by Maricopa County after the board meeting shows security guards telling a group of about 15 people to leave, accusing them of censoring free speech.
A hot mic catches words containing “trespassing.”
“You’re protecting and serving cowards. And you’re silencing our voices. And that’s tyranny. Do you understand that? I don’t think so, right? Look. How do you think a revolution starts?” an unidentified member of the crowd then says to a county official near the podium.
Immediately afterwards, Michelle Cran read a statement from the podium to the absent board members.
“Due to voter fraud, you have not been officially voted in. Acting as if you were an authority over the people is a direct act of treason,” Klan said.
After the speech, video shows most of the crowd following Klan to the exit. One is wearing a hat that says MAGA and the other is wearing a JFK Jr. jersey.
Jack Sellers, chairman of the board, said in a statement that the incident was part of several months of disruptive behavior.
