The Office’s natural disaster designation enables the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA)’s Farm Services Agency (FSA) to provide much-needed emergency financing to growers recovering from natural disasters. emergency loan.
Emergency loans can be used to meet a variety of recovery needs, including replacement of essentials such as equipment and livestock, reorganization of agricultural operations, and refinancing of certain debts. The FSA will screen loans based on severity of loss, available security and ability to repay.
