Flu cases are far higher than at this time of year in previous years, and officials are urging locals to get vaccinated before holidays.
PHOENIX — Nearly every county in Arizona has “high” community levels of coronavirus, prompting residents in those areas to wear masks in public places.
Mojave County is currently the only area in Arizona to remain in the moderate range of COVID-19 community levels.
Two weeks ago, Maricopa County was in the “moderate” range for COVID-19. But the latest analysis by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention put Arizona’s largest county in the “high” category.
This means Valley residents are encouraged to consider wearing masks in public areas and on public transportation, according to the CDC.
Arizona reported more than 14,800 COVID-19 cases during the week of November 27. This is a significant increase from his 4,007 cases reported in the week of Sept. 25.

“While the number of deaths from COVID-19 is well below what was seen during the massive spike in Arizona, the 71 deaths added in today’s weekly dashboard update are more than the COVID-19 death toll.
