Maricopa County Inmate Jonathan Peterson Receives Additional

Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell has announced that Jonathan Peterson, who has already been jailed for gang-related crimes, will serve another 42.75 years to be part of the second-degree murder and criminal street gang. The investigation revealed that Peterson used a cell phone smuggled from his cell to order hits from informants, indicating the extent of organized crime, even from behind the bar. As reported by Maricopa County Lawyer’s OfficeBorn in December 1983, Peterson coordinated the “execution style” murder of Juan Reigoza, who was working with law enforcement. Raygoza’s death was just part of a series of actions aimed at instilling fear and ensuring silence among those considering confronting the gang. After the murder of Raygoza, two accomplices themselves involved in the murder are killed, and the other one is the target of an attempted hit.

This crucial text reflects the relentless efforts by law enforcement to hold offenders accountable, regardless of their attempts to control activities from the shadow of the prison. County Attorney Rachel Mitchell said he said “The accused killed an individual for working with law enforcement. This was an act intended to intimidate and silence others.” Maricopa County Lawyer’s Office.

The Chandler Police Department led the investigation and worked with several agencies, including Mesa, Glendale, Phoenix, Surprise Police Department, the FBI and the Arizona Department of Corrections. Peterson’s new sentence begins in 2029 after spending his current conviction time. Deputy county lawyers Daniel Fisher and Ellen Dahl were praised by Mitchell for their strong prosecution of Peterson. Maricopa County Lawyer’s Office.
