Maricopa County Jail Facility Seizes Fentanyl in One Week
phoenix – Maricopa County detainees seized more than 150 fentanyl pills from inmates at one facility in the past week, according to the county sheriff’s office.
In total, 260 tablets were found in newly booked inmates in three separate incidents at county detention, transfer, and release facilities.
In the first case, a male inmate was seen handing pills to someone else. Officers obtained a warrant to search him and in his body he found 160 pills.
Another 65 tablets were found in the inmate’s belongings while in custody.
In the last incident, a woman reportedly hid a bag containing 35 pills in her genitals. Her cops found her during a search during her appointment.
Meanwhile, two inmates had to be taken to hospital after they overdosed Unspecified substances in Lower Buckeye Prison.
