The Maricopa County Diaper Bank offers eligible families the opportunity to save approximately $75 per child per month on household items.
The program, which is run by the County Department of Human Services, was made possible with funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services through the Arizona Community Action Association WildFire, according to a release.
The diaper bank has distributed more than 700,000 diapers, ensuring a supply of about 5,000 children with 150 diapers each each month, county officials said in a statement.
“This initiative recognizes the challenges faced by families facing tough choices between buying groceries, paying for transportation and housing, and meeting their child’s basic diaper needs,” the release said. is described in

“With free diapers available through the Diaper Bank, parents can prioritize spending without compromising their child’s health.”
Diaper prices range from 30 cents to 75 cents per diaper depending on size and function. The program offers diapers in a variety of sizes, from newborns to older children, including Young Adult sizes for children with special needs.
Diaper banks are available to Maricopa County families outside of Phoenix, Glendale, and Mesa. Families enrolled in Maricopa County’s Head Start program are also eligible, county officials said.
Families must also meet income requirements and be within 150% of the federal poverty level. This is an annual income of $45,000 for her family of four.
