A new and improved Maricopa County Library is coming to the rapidly growing North Valley.

After receiving approval from the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors on Jan. 24, the Maricopa County Library District closed on the $9 million property in Anthem. This state-of-the-art facility will house the expanded North Valley Regional Library, serving more than 45,000 Maricopa County residents in Anthem, New River, and other unincorporated areas of North Phoenix. It will be.

“County libraries are more than just a place to borrow your next book,” said Chairman Jack Sellers, who represents District 1 on the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors. “They are also trusted community resource centers for county residents to seek career counseling, connect with employment services, and find their next job opportunity. I am very happy to see that I am receiving more.”

The current North Valley Regional Library is co-located with Boulder Creek High School and its hours are limited to after-school hours. Expanding the library in a new county-owned location and adding additional hours will better serve residents as the population grows. Much of the growth is being driven by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC)'s $40 billion investment in two chip manufacturing plants in North Phoenix, opening up areas near I-17 and 303 for new construction. It has become a rapidly growing area.

“My school district has experienced dramatic growth in recent years, and it made sense for the North Valley Regional Library to move to a larger space that can accommodate more community services to better serve North Valley residents. It’s been a long time coming,” said Coach Bill. School District 3 Gate. “We would like to thank Deer Valley Unified School District, the longtime home of the library, and Phoenix City Councilwoman Anne O’Brien and the Anthem Community Council for helping secure this wonderful new facility.”

Located at 41810 N. Venture Dr. in Anthem, the new property consists of 27,188 square feet and was previously owned by Liftable Media, Inc., a media company with best-in-class technology in the space . This technology setup opens the door to new library service possibilities. This will be determined through a comprehensive redesign and renovation process that will ensure the new and improved library best serves the needs of the local community.

“The Community Council is proud to work with Maricopa County and Supervisor Gates to find a new home for the North Valley Regional Library,” said Anthem Community Council Chair Carolyn Hiron. . “We are confident that families in our close-knit community will enjoy the expanded hours and services this new standalone building will provide.”

“This move represents endless new opportunities for North Valley Regional Libraries,” said Maricopa County Library District Director Jeremy Reeder. “We look forward to seeing how our new building can attract more cardholders and instill a love of reading in more Maricopa County residents.”
