“Our purpose is to learn about the science and technology of medicine, but it's pushing an agenda and taking sides,” a student who received the email and asked to remain anonymous told the Daily Caller News Foundation.
“If it was a student email, and he was just sending it to everyone as his opinion, or as part of a student group, I don't have a problem with it. If it was sent from a faculty email address through an official email chain, then I can see the whole university wanting more of that agenda, and maybe it's a discouragement for those who don't agree with it,” the student said.

“Recent changes in the law have raised concerns about the rights and wellbeing of members of the transgender community. We call on health care providers, policymakers, and the public to work together to ensure that all individuals, regardless of gender identity, receive fair and just treatment,” the email said.
Dr. Stanley Goldfarb of Do No Harm believes that medical school professors are pushing students to be advocates instead of doctors. He says students should be studying to be good doctors.
“These days, students have very little time to study, and more time is spent participating in community activities, such as advocacy, than engaging in the rigorous academic work that students should be doing,” Goldfarb told DCNF.
Recently, pro-Palestinian protests have erupted, leading to the arrest of a Jewish professor and expulsion from the university campus, and socialist groups have also staged walkouts during graduation ceremonies, calling for “Death to America and Israel.”
Dartmouth College and the Geisel School of Medicine did not immediately respond to DCNF requests for comment.
