Mojave County (KTNV) — Another body found by Mojave County officials has been confirmed.
A human remains was found in a remote desert area in Yucca on December 4, 2022, according to the sheriff’s office. Police said the caller said he had been out on horseback in the desert where the body was found. When police arrived, they found the body in rubble and wrapped in a tarp.
The agency said it called for help from an outside company in February, and that company was able to use genetic genealogy to identify the victim.
County officials said Wednesday that the man had been identified as 50-year-old Brandon Ray Parlanti, from Kingman.
The Sheriff’s Department is investigating the incident as a homicide and urges anyone with information about the incident to call 928-753-0753 (extension 4288).
It’s the second time this week that Mojave County officials have identified a body. On Tuesday, they announced that 30-year-old Jordan Carvalho has been identified. He was reported missing in 2019.
