Explore Northern Arizona This Fall
Now is a great time to visit northern Arizona. With cooler temperatures and the vibrant colors of changing leaves, you’ll find a lot to enjoy. All national parks and monuments, including the Grand Canyon, Glen Canyon, Lake Powell, Horseshoe Bend, Sunset Crater-Walnut Canyon, and Upatiki, are open and ready to welcome visitors.
These sites play a significant role in supporting local communities like Flagstaff, Fredonia, Page, Sedona, Tuba City, Tusayan, and Williams, which have been impacted by the White Sage and Dragon Bravo fires this year.
“These unique locations offer a variety of restaurants, shops, and attractions that enhance the Grand Canyon experience for many visitors,” noted Patrice Horstman, Coconino County District 1 Supervisor and Board Chair. “From the historic town of Williams along Route 66 to Page, where stunning slot canyons meet expansive lakes and clear dark skies, northern Coconino County truly is the ideal fall getaway.”
Throughout October, various events will take place across Coconino County.
Here are some highlights to consider.
