I’m becoming a fan of Davey Martinez.
When the Washington Nationals and Arizona Diamondbacks lined up Thursday, there was a high-profile moment during the game from ejected Knots manager Davey Martinez.
Before being ejected from the game, Martinez yelled at home base umpire Doug Eddings, complaining that too many low pitches were called strikes, some of which could be outside the strike zone. was leaking. MartÃnez, who was eventually kicked out, said “no more” and literally lay on the ground, further proving his case to Eddings and showing him where the pitch was supposed to land.
It was truly amazing, and it came just a little over a week after another hilarious incident by Martinez, who printed out a photo to prove himself right about a phone call he was complaining about. That’s great.
God, I love this person.

It’s almost the second time in a week that Davey Martinez pulls off a classic comedy stunt, but I’m curious what the man will do for the rest of the season.
As a fan of the Atlanta Braves/Miami Marlins and a big hater of the New York Mets (and also interested in the Philadelphia Phillies because of their Pennsylvania ties), I have a fair amount of interest in the NL East. I may be, but I admit to being completely ignorant. When it comes to Washington Nationals baseball. I didn’t know this guy has been directing Nuts since 2018. So I was wondering…is this something Davey has been doing for years or is it a new trend?

Now, apparently this is something he’s been doing for years, so the question arises… how the hell could I know this now? (Probably because the Nationals have always been garbage other than winning the 2019 World Series, which I gloriously admired as a DMV player, and was one of the few things that actually paid attention to, and even then, who Davey was. It was probably because I didn’t know it at all)
I feel like I’ve been missing out on a lot with Davey Martinez, but that will definitely change soon.
