As an anti-government person, Brantley said he has many mixed feelings about the Trump administration and its actions.
“We wanted people to know that this isn’t always the case in the judicial system,” Brantley said.

“I stand with democratic values and I feel it’s important for us to express ourselves as much as possible,” Garcia said. “My drums are mere expressions that bring unity, excitement, and help people feel the rhythm and dance through protest.”
While people attended the protest for a variety of reasons, Garcia said he believes the protesters have a responsibility to communicate and understand each other’s perspectives.
Making changes at the local level as an individual is what Garcia said and is something he continues to advocate.
“I’m here to listen to the people in Flagstaff,” Garcia said. “I feel that it’s important for me to be here to listen to people, ask them what they’re worried about and ask if they’re happy with how things are going locally.”
