New Game Show Will Center Around ‘Friends’

HBO announced in a press release on Monday that it is launching a new game show centered around the hit sitcom “Friends.”

“Fast Friends” is planned as a four-part game show that will take place as a fast-paced competition on the show's set. statement

“From running through Rachel and Monica's apartment, to Joey and Chandler's bachelor pad, to grabbing coffee in Central Perk, fans can relive their favorite moments as they tackle quizzes, puzzles and games that will get even the most dedicated Friends fan on their feet,” the statement read.

Friends fans will get a sense of nostalgia knowing that the fastest team will win the title of Ultimate Friends Fan.

“Fast Friends” celebrates the 30th anniversary of the hit show, which continues to captivate audiences across streaming and syndication.

The new game show will be released by Warner Bros. Unscripted Television and is set to begin production in October at The Friends Experience: The One in New York City.

According to a press release, Max promises a major global promotion that will include “fan-favorite episodes, in-app surprises, innovative filters and more.”

Dan Norris, Dan Sachs and Bridget Theriault have been named executive producers on Fast Friends, with Richard Burgio serving as co-executive producer.

To celebrate all things Friends, Max Ultimate Ad-Free subscribers will be able to watch their favorite Friends episodes in 4K UHD with Dolby Vision and HDR10 on devices that support these services. The original cast of “Friends” consisted of Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and the late Matthew Perry.

A release date for “Fast Friends” has not been announced.
