Maricopa County Animal Care and Control (MCACC) aims to “empty its shelters” from February 7th to 11th, 2024 and will waive adoption fees for dogs six months of age and older. This event is hosted by Bissell Pet Foundationlimited to Maricopa County.
“We're excited to start the new year with a special adoption program to help find loving homes for our animals in time for Valentine's Day,” said Kim Powell, communications supervisor for MCACC. “Thank you BISSELL Pet Foundation for partnering with us once again to fight pet homelessness.”
More than 1,600 animals have arrived at MCACC since January. Currently, over 800 dogs are waiting for new owners. MCACC expects hundreds of dogs to find homes during the BISSELL Pet Foundation's “Empty the Shelters” adoption event.
