Maricopa County has launched its update White Tank Grand Avenue Area Plan We plan to hold our next community meeting for input early this year on Monday, October 16, 2023. The plan is expected to be finalized by the end of the year.

Community feedback

Community members have been involved in the update process since the beginning by sharing their thoughts in one-on-one meetings, participating in open house events and virtual meetings, and providing feedback through two surveys. In general, local residents expressed support for preserving scenic corridors, landscaping, and open space within the planning area. The draft plan proposes two growth areas along U.S. Route 60 and Loop 303 to anticipate growth in areas with existing or anticipated infrastructure and services.
