Harris’ share of the Hispanic vote dropped to 54% when respondents included independent candidate Cornel West, Green Party candidate Dr. Jill Stein, and Libertarian candidate Chase Oliver among their choices. The poll was conducted from September 29th to October 6th among 902 Hispanic voters.
Before President Joe Biden announced on July 21 that he would not seek re-election, Trump had gained significant support among Hispanic voters in polls, citing issues such as immigration and the economy. Ms. Harris has been regaining some support from Hispanic voters since replacing Mr. Biden at the top of the Democratic Party, but she did not support Biden’s level of support among Hispanic voters during the 2020 campaign.
