O’Connor: Biden bringing investment to Arizona

Loretta O’Connor | Tempe

While Trump runs around hiding national security documents in bedrooms, bathrooms, and elsewhere, Mr. Biden is bringing investments to Arizona.

As many projects as I can think of are currently underway.

TSMC’s semiconductor manufacturing facility north of Phoenix. The project incorporates water recycling procedures and extensive collaboration with local community colleges and universities.

A nearly sold-out industrial park in Pinal County. Companies that serve the semiconductor industry or manufacture electric vehicles will take advantage of nearby railroads to facilitate the transportation of goods.

A battery cell factory in Buckeye will produce EV batteries and work with a local university to create a vocational training program.

After spending nearly $30 million to install broadband in a Colorado River community, people in rural Arizona finally have reliable internet access.

These projects are through the Bilateral Infrastructure Act, the CHIPS and Science Act, and the Control Inflation Act, all of which were contested and passed for the Biden administration. Republicans voted against nearly all of them, but now they’re looking to take credit for jobs and benefits. Anyone surprised?

Remember that photo of President Trump honking his Tonka lorry? I prefer the photo of Biden signing the bill.
