Oklahoma Aims to Create a Turning Point Chapter in Every High School

Oklahoma State Principal Partners with Turning Point USA

Ryan Walters, the Principal of Oklahoma State, has announced a collaboration with Turning Point USA (TPUSA) and is setting up chapters of the organization in every high school across the state.

TPUSA aims to support students in public, private, and homeschooling environments in starting these chapters, provided that at least three students from each school join. As noted in a press release from the Oklahoma Department of Education, the organization will assist in raising awareness about the clubs, supply materials and guidance, and help find teachers to sponsor each chapter.

In a post on X, Walters expressed his views, stating, “The union of radical left-wing teachers has long dominated the classroom. We’re bringing them back.” This reflects a clear intention to shift the educational landscape.

According to the announcement, TPUSA “gives students across the country the opportunity to organize, guide, and advocate for American values in schools.”

Additionally, the Department of Education recently formed its own partnership with TPUSA as the nation approaches its 250th anniversary. This coalition, consisting of over 40 groups, aims to enhance patriotism, improve civic literacy, and encourage people of all ages to appreciate the country’s founding principles.

Charlie Kirk, the founder of TPUSA, was tragically killed at a speaking event in Utah on September 10th. He was known for engaging students in discussions on contentious issues like abortion and gender ideology. Following his death, various educators and students reacted in mixed ways, ranging from praise to mockery, leading to a broader conversation about the response.

Walters further commented on Kirk’s legacy, saying, “Charlie Kirk has inspired a generation who loves America, speaks boldly, and never shies away from tough discussions. Our kids need to be involved and active. We are fighting against the liberal propaganda, pushed by the radical left and the teachers’ union. Our fight begins now.”
