‘One Party Alone’: WaPo Columnist Blames Trump, GOP For ‘Political Violence’ Following Assassination Attempt

Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin on Tuesday blamed former President Donald Trump and the Republican Party for the “political violence.”

Trump was slightly injured in an assassination attempt at a rally in Butler County, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, which left former volunteer fire chief Corey Comperatore dead and two other attendees injured. In a post on Twitter, Rubin claimed that “one party” was responsible for the violence rocking America. Former White House communications director Kate Bedingfield on Monday corrected and apologized for using the phrase “launch an attack on Donald Trump” while talking about the campaign.

Trump Survived of Assassination attempt During his successful 2016 presidential campaign, a 20-year-old man grabbed a police officer's gun and attempted to shoot Trump, who was then the Republican front-runner, during a campaign event in Las Vegas in June 2016.
