In an incident near Payson, Arizona, a deputy from the Gila County Sheriff’s office discharged their weapon, resulting in one death. According to reports, this all began around midnight on March 13, when the sheriff’s office received information about stolen items taken from GO AZ Motorcycles.
Upon arriving at the scene, deputies allegedly noticed a pickup truck with a trailer loading a UTV. When they attempted to stop the driver, he reportedly did not comply, leading to the discharge of the weapon. The driver was shot and subsequently died from injuries.
The sheriff’s office mentioned that two individuals who were with the driver had fled the scene and remain at large. The identity of the deceased has not yet been disclosed. An investigation into the shooting is being conducted by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
