...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 545 PM MST THIS
AFTERNOON FOR TUCSON...

At 407 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms have produced heavy rain in Tucson. Between 1 and 2
inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5
inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already
occurring.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Tucson, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Casas Adobes, Flowing Wells,
Tanque Verde, South Tucson, Catalina Foothills and Sabino Canyon
Recreation Area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

FLASH FLOOD DAMAGE THREAT...CONSIDERABLE

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 PM MST THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
expected.

* WHERE...A portion of South Central Arizona, including the
following counties, Pima and Pinal.

* WHEN...Until 530 PM MST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams and normally dry washes. Water over
roadways. Some low-water crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 334 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding.
Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in
the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Oro Valley, Marana, Saddlebrooke Ranch, Tortolita and Dove
Mountain.
