Phoenix is looking for an operator to manage a youth camp 245 miles north of the city.
Camp Collie, named after former Phoenix Parks and Recreation Director James A. Collie, is located near Happy Jack and its mission is to bring underserved “urban youth” to The goal is to provide structured, supervised outdoor nature education and experiences, city officials said in a release.
“Camp Collie not only has a meaningful central mission, but it is also the perfect vacation summer camp with the space and amenities for different types of camping experiences. , barns, riding areas, secluded campgrounds, solar panels, and more,” the release reads.
