Pima County Attorney’s Office announces new upgrades to victim notification system | Local

TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – The Pima County Attorney’s Office has announced new upgrades to its victim notification system.

They just introduced email and text notifications about court dates and other important updates for victims' cases.

Email notifications are common in Arizona, but Pima County is the first to provide text updates.

Administrative experts at the law firm say the system only targets incident-related events and does not affect personal connections between victim advocates and those in need. It states that there is no.

Genaro Venalonzo is a management specialist at PCAO.

“I believe electronic communication is the way to go,” Venalonso said. “This is something our office has never done before. Victims should know about their next court date, and victims should know what's going on and what's going to happen.” That's how we empower them.”

It took about a year to build the system.
