Pima County inmate hospitalized in critical condition after suicide attempt

An inmate was taken to hospital in critical condition following a suicide attempt at the Pima County Adult Detention Center on Saturday.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Office said prison officers were patrolling the facility around 11:40 a.m. Saturday and spotted an inmate attempting suicide.
