Pima County sergeant charged with sexual assault

In December last year, an investigation was launched following suspicions that two members of the club had sexually assaulted them outside of working hours.

Pima County, Arizona — Sergeant Pima County Sheriff’s Department He has been indicted in a sexual assault investigation, the sheriff’s office said in a news release Wednesday.

An investigation by the Sheriff’s Department determined there were sufficient grounds for the arrest of Sergeant Ricardo Garcia in connection with a sexual assault involving another department member, officials said.

An investigation into the incident began on December 19, 2022, following an allegation of “a sexual assault that occurred between two department members after hours,” authorities said.

Additionally, the sheriff’s department said it would move forward with the process of dismissing Garcia.
