pima county is partnering with education and public sector employers to host a job fair on Thursday, February 8th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kino Event Center (2805 E. Ajo Way).

A joint Pima County and City of Tucson job fair will be held at the Kino Event Center.

Pima County will be represented by departments including Human Resources, Information Technology, Pima County Transportation, Sheriff's Department, Regional Wastewater Reclamation, Courts, Community and Workforce Development, Facilities Management, and the Health Department.

Other employers scheduled to participate include San Tolan, Sunnyside Unified School District, Pima Community College, Pima JTED, Sahuarita Unified School District, City of Sahuarita, and Tucson Police Department.

Pima County Human Resources Department Director Kathy Borland said job seekers will find a wide range of opportunities to match their career goals, from outdoor industrial jobs to management-level positions.

“Job seekers looking to work in the public sector won't want to miss this fair,” Borland said. “There are over 150 job openings in the county alone for people looking for a great career and an opportunity to serve their community. If you're looking, we're hiring!”

Many hiring departments have staff on hand to answer questions.

The county plans to provide computers for job seekers to apply on-site.
