You probably don’t know Jacob Chansley’s name, but you certainly know the man who entered the Capitol on January 6, 2021, wearing a fur-trimmed Viking helmet and face paint. Dew.
He was derisively referred to as the “QAnon Shaman” by hostile media, but the name stuck. But now that he’s been pardoned by President Donald Trump and released from a nearly three-and-a-half year prison sentence, Chansley certainly doesn’t seem to mind. All he wants to do is “BUY MOTHA FU*KIN GUNS.”
I just received information from my lawyer…
I’m forgiven, baby!
Thank you, President Trump! ! !Now I’m going to buy a MOTHA FU*KIN gun!
I love this country!
God bless America!
The J6ers are freed and justice has arrived…

He conveyed his enthusiasm for January 6th to X, thanked President Trump and declared his love for this country. Typically, felons are not allowed to possess firearms, but President Trump’s pardon (rather than a commutation of his sentence) means Chansley is legally able to possess a weapon again. Go to a gun show, dude. Go wild. (Related: Sign up for the Daily Caller newsletter, Cultured)
It’s a combination of two neuroses that Libists fear most: fear of inanimate guns and disgust with populists inciting mobs. But all their stories arerestorative justice” and “abolition of prison”, their empathy seems to extend only to those who are likely to reoffend.
Violent career criminals who have been arrested and released dozens of times because progressive prosecutors won’t press charges are certain to reoffend and make ordinary people’s lives miserable (and dangerous). Probably. Still, libraries are perfectly happy to see that wagon rolling. On the other hand, you’d be lucky to find a New York Times reader who believes the QAnon shaman deserves a second chance.
But does anyone really believe he’s going to do anything let alone violent or illegal again? He seems like a much safer bet than Liv usually makes. This seems like a man who truly loves his country and is just happy to be free. After years of legal trauma, Sherman is likely hanging up his hat and staying far away from the U.S. Capitol.
